~Happy Anniversary~Hard to believe it's been 12 years - so much has happened in our lives since that beautiful day in May, 1997 - up on Federal Hill, the wind was blowing my veil around and we were laughing at it - such a wonderful spot in Baltimore. Aaron proposed to me on that hill -- another day I will never forget, it was filled with such joy. Nothing like having the man you love drop to one knee and ask for your hand in marriage. Looking back, it's almost like a dream - but with movie-like clarity. I can remember everything about that day, what I wore, how he came to my office to pick me up for dinner and had to wait because John wanted more and more changes...the delicious dinner at Bandaloops, the walk to Federal Hill, overlooking Baltimore...and a year later, we stood on that hill as man and wife.
I have truly been blessed to be loved by a man such as my husband and I am sad that we are not going to be together tomorrow, on our anniversary. Needless to say, it's been difficult living without him for 10 months. I miss him, our daughter misses him, and all of our animals miss him as well. I know he misses us, too.
Looking at that picture, it's hard to envision me - in my wedding dress and heels - climbing up a fire escape ladder to get into Bandaloops, where our wedding was held!!!
Love you and miss you terribly, Aaron -
